Can you do last minute bookings?
We can do last minute bookings for bouncy castle rentals, if we have them available. Though we do recommend that you book as far as possible in advance. CALL US today and book your bouncy castle!
How long can I hire a bouncy castle for?
A minimum of 4 hours and a maximum of 8 hours. We don’t hire over night.
I Only Need The Inflatable For A Few Hours. Do You Do Discounts For Shorter Hires (1-3hrs?)
No. It has been suggested in the past that as equipment may only be needed for a few hours that we would have the opportunity to rehire the equipment again on the same date and as such that may be worth a discount. Unfortunately in reality this simply isnt the case. The majority of parties take place within half or even an hour of one another and on the rare occasion that the timings may allow for this the logistics involved in order to deliver, collect, clean and then redeliver equipment to another area is entirely prohibative and actually increases our costs rather than decreasing them in order to pass on any saving. Our cost to serve for fixed time or shorter parties is actually much greater than for the average hire as its often unviable to send drivers onto another job in another location only to return straight back to collect and involves additional costs in doing so. Despite the extra work and in many cases additional costs involved we do not charge a premium for fixed time hires or shorter parties however are unable to offer discounts on this basis.
Do I have to come collect it or set it up?
Bouncy Castles require professionally trained staff to set up and install the unit safely and to provide a safety briefing before play. As such our insurance does not cover us for equipment collected and operated or installed by anyone other than our profesionally trained staff. Therefore we deliver, set up and later collect all of the bouncy castles we hire. You are welcome to collect any concession items or tables and chairs from our venue.
Can a Bouncy Castle go indoors?
Yes, it can.
What if I need to cancel?
There is no cancellation fee, however we do ask that you give us 24 hours notice.
How much access space is needed to get a Bouncy Castle in?
Approx 1.5 metres for most bouncy castles. Please ensure that water heaters or air conditioning units are not blocking the access. Please enquire if you are not sure. If there are any stairs that need to be used, please make sure that there are additional people to support the driver carry the castle up the stairs.
How much flat area do we need?
As our bouncy castles vary in size, please check in the descriptions of our Castles for the sizes and allow 1-2 metres space around the area. When pacing out a space, remember to look up and check for overhanging trees.
What surface can a Bouncy Castle go on?
Grass is the most suitable surface. Please advise prior to booking for dirt, concrete, paving, asphalt etc. Not mud or gravel. A ground cover can be supplied with all bouncy castles.
Before setting up the bouncy castle, kindly ensure the ground or surface on which it is being set up is level, clean, stable and free of any pebbles, sharp stones or any other object which could cause damage to the inflatable. Also check the height to which it will inflate and ensure it will not touch or snag on branches, roof extensions or any other such structure. The electric extension / connection cable to the blower must not run underneath the bouncy castle or where children may be playing or have access. Ensure that an area around the unit is completely clear as it can shift during use.
Can the Bouncy Castle be in contact with walls or trees?
No, the bouncy castle can suffer abraision damage if it is in direct contact with branches or walls. When we deliver the bouncy castle we will place it so as to avoid contact with these damaging surfaces.
We booked ages ago, do you ring to confirm?
Yes, we ring or email 24 hours before the castle hire to confirm arrangements.
How does the Bouncy Castle stay blown up?
The bouncy castle is not a sealed unit. It is therefore continually filled with air which comes from an electric blower. The blower is connected to your power supply by a sealed, heavy duty extension cord supplied by us.
How long does it take to set up?
Around 15 minutes, depending on the site and the size of the bouncy castle.
How many children can use the Bouncy Castle at the one time?
It’s recommended that no more than 8 children at a time. Please see bouncy castle descriptions for age/weight recommendations. It’s the weight that counts! So, really depends on the ages of children using the bouncy castles and size of the bouncy castle hired. Remember safety is paramount and it is always better to have too few on, than too many.
Can adults use your Castles?
NO! Our castles are strictly for children under 12 years depending on Castle. Please see castle descriptions for age limits.
What happens if it rains on the day?
Our smaller castles may fit in your garage or large indoor room so if the forcast is looking bad and you have planned an outdoor event give us a ring to discuss if your ordered castle will fit indoors or if available you could downsize to one that will. We cannot deliver our bouncy castles if it is raining heavily or there are heavy winds forecast! If there is heavy rain/strong winds we will not deliver due to safety reasons. We will ring you on the day to arrange another time if required.
Do Your Castles Have Rain Covers? Can They Be Used in The Rain?
Some of our Bouncy Castles have built in rain/shade covers, these will protect against light showers but not torrential rain and wind. If light showers are scheduled for the day of your event this need not spoil your day. Children are safe to continue to use the castle in very light rain as long as measures are taken to keep the front step of the inflatable dry and the cables and that the children take extra care when getting on and off the castle. If the rain should become heavier we would advise that the children come off the castle until the weather improves. You do not need to worry about the castle getting wet, if left inflated the rain cover will deflect most of the water and the rest of the castle will dry very quickly allowing play to continue once the weather has improved. For health and safety it is essential that the front step is kept dry as PVC naturally becomes slippery when wet. It is advisable to have at least 2 towels with every castle to wipe down the mats and front step if needed.
What happens if the Bouncy Castle deflates during the day of our hire?
First check the power cord hasn’t come unplugged, Check that the inflation tube is still attached and the blower hasn’t been blocked. If this doesn’t solve the problem contact us by phone ASAP and we will talk you through possible solutions and if the problem can not be fixed and as long as it’s not due to mis-use of the bouncy castle and less than half way into your hire time we will come out and replace it with another castle for the remainder of your Hire Period (replacement is dependant on availability and will be a different bouncy castle). If we cannot offer a replacement then other options will be discussed.
What happens if we damage the Bouncy Castle?
If the damage is considered by us to be malicious then you will be liable to pay for all repairs/replacement and transport costs associated with having the inflatable repaired. If adults use a bouncy castle that is not an adult castle, and it is damaged, then the above will also apply as these inflatables are specifically available for children only.
Do you supply Safety Mats?
Yes, we do on request.
Do You Provide Supervision?
We do not provide supervision for our castles as a standard. However we can provide a supervisor to supervise and operate your equipment from between $25-$30 per hour subject to the type of event and equipment hired.
PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU ARE UNSURE OF ANYTHING OR IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER QUESTIONS
